Once again I am write to you journal. My name is Abesh Yamauchi. I am a 19 division old man that has enlisted in the japanese Navy. You can articulate that I am the archetypal farmers son schooled in the Shintoistic tradition. Death doesnt scare me, it brings joy to me. Right now I am living on the Chikuma aircraft. It is nothing like stem but I concord gotten over that. My mom try to convince me that I should not be involved with warfare but I knew that this was my purpose in life. At this time, Japan is experiencing a decreasing capacity to wage war, the loss of experienced flys, which has turned us to kamikaze bombers like my self. This means god peak which I am still trying to understand. I pose just got out of secondary school and I am already in the navy. I consecrate thought of cosmos a kamikaze pilot many times before and I am excited because I know one day I will reach happiness.
December 6, 1941
Today I got a message from the Imperial General Headquarters. It read “ plump ready, for tomorrow you will honor the Japanese life. Our mission is to squelch Pearl Harbor tomorrow morning.” He announced a month ago that this surprise attack was going to do but it came so fast. When I read this I tangle many feelings. I felt that I have complete(a) life.
They are announcing a military strike and I have precisely been in the Japanese navy for half a year. I dont know if I am ready or not. I dont know if I should feel confident or not. I am in control of a Boeing B-29 aircraft and have less than 100 hours of flying underneath my belt. As a Japanese warrior I know what I have to do but I dont know if I can reach this. As a 19 year old pilot I am the oldest of all my team. The youngest member Joanu Keshina who is 17 has only flew a plane twice and is getting deployed tomorrow morning. Thousands of multitude are counting on me to complete my task and that is what I shall do.
