Dr. Siri Paiboun is introduced in Colin Cotterill’s, The Coroner’s Lunch, to being the only if doctor go away in Laos. All the other doctors fled the country leaving Dr. Siri the office of being the country’s sole coroner. He had no training for this role and was very unprepared but took on the responsibility. Due to his job, Dr. Siri investigated many accidental deaths and a supernatural question reoccurs throughout the book. These occurrences are unexplainable and unpredic plug-in. Siri clamed to have been visited by liven of people that pasted away on his operating postpone but was non visited by the people he neer knew. Dr. Siri’s first encounter with the supernatural is in his breathing in after a long Friday at work. He cruel asleep and, to his surprise, was visited by the longboat man. Dr. Siri’s second encounter was not unconsciously like the first had been. This time he discover a tall black figure behind him that began to gush at him. Sire made the figure out to be Mrs. Nitnoy and as their two bodies met, Mrs. Nitnoy’s disappeared. Dr.



Siri always thought he was being visited by the people that died on his operating table because he was guilty of their death and that he did not retain them. But after his confrontation with the dead who he had not known alive, Siri was unsure the purpose of the visits.
