Collaborative Experiences

I encountered my worst collaborative experience my freshman year. I was enrolled into IDE 20 (Engineering Design with Computer Applications). The first day I went to course of action my teacher informed us that the whole class was a base project. Our assignment was to create a table tennis ball transporter. There were many specifications on size, height, and etc but mainly it had to launch the ping-pong balls into a trash can. As in short as I receive my packet I began to brainstorm. I had many ideas on how to make this work. I was excited and unquiet about this project, but roughlyly I was ready to ticktack my hands dirty. Before groups were assigned I notice that the classroom was mostly full of males, so I knew that my group was most likely to be filled with males. I was grouped with trinity caucasion males, a football player, a fraternity pledgee and a cowboy. Our group was very diverse to say the least. With being a private-enterprise(a) person I immediately knew that we all came from backgrounds and that it may be difficult for us to work cohesively together but I kept a positive attitude and an open mind. bingle of our first tasks as a group was to assign roles. I would have personally preferred being involved in the hands aspect more than the other(a) areas. I predicted that my other group members would have wanted the same thing, and I was right.



When it came pop to it, I ended being the scribe and the note-taker. I was ok with not being apart of the hands-on aspect entirely because I had ideas that could be used. My group members were open to my ideas but were peeping for the easiest way. In the brainstorming process I offered very sound ideas and advice on how we could successfully complete the task.
As the class go along we ran into many road bumps. Many times we did not endlessly agree about the way things should be handled or interpreted care of. There were several occasions were we would establish a meeting outside of class, which would result to me sitting in an leisure room.
