Lessons Learned

My lifetime has been filled with experiences that provided knowledge far beyond that which could be learn in any classroom. I regret to contract that those lessons were not always painless or even abstemious to learn, and each one came with a price that was often concentrated to pay; but such is the way of life. My grandmother often quoted the old adage those who impart not hear moldiness feel when forced to physically discipline me, and was typically exasperated by my insistence upon learning things the hard way. It was as though I believed that the learning of the ages had been bestowed upon me at birth and I refused to consider otherwise. Even when her terminology of guidance proved correct I remained convinced that I knew best. I often argued that I had to fasten mistakes in regularize to learn from them, and glibly dismissed the notion that true cognizance would have enabled me to learn from other peoples mistakes without repeating them. Finally, filled with frustration my wonderfully wise grandmother begged Gods mercy upon me and turned me oer to my own instruction, knowing in her heart that I had chosen a fools path.
