tail end B. Watson, B. F. Skinner and Edward C. Tolman were three significant psychologists back in the 1900s and all three were on to wonderful ideas closely their own versions regarding behavioristic psychology. Although, each man had his own perspective on behaviorism, each of his ideas correlates very well. John B. Watson was the so called founder of behaviorism and he soon published his own Behaviorist pronunciamento in 1913. American behaviorists often trace their roots to John B. Watson however; the psychological world did not convert to behaviorism just because of Watsons remarkable manifesto and ideas. (Goodwin, n.d.) Watson graduated from Furman University with a masters degree in 1900 and soon went on with the intentions to meditate psychology and philosophy. Although his intentions and what his heart wanted were completely diametrical; he had a great deal of interest for introspective and functionalist psychology and an even off more highly interest for comparative degree psychology. Watsons doctoral dissertation was the study of the relationship between the development and suss outing in small white rats. umpteen physiologists believed that young rats were not capable of associate learning because their brains did not contain enough medullated fibers. ) However, Watson discovered that it wasnt until the quaternary week of the young rats life that the medullated fibers increased and the young rats were able to improve their ability to form associations. During Watsons condemnation at the University of Chicago he started studying rats in mazes in which he completed with Harvey Carr. The study became known as the Watson/Carr study and their goal was to determine which senses were needed for a rat to learn a maze. Watson surgically removed the eyes from some rats, the oculus ears from others, and the olfactory bulbs from a third group and came to the conclusion that even with their sensors removed the rats were still able to learn the maze with ease.
