A teenager is the fine atmosphere between being a child and becoming a young adult. Being a teenager is an awkward meter of life when one doesnt really know who they be or who they will become. A juvenile in modern America means confusion from being bombarded by trade media, sexual urges, desire to be on their own, peer compel to do things they might not normally do and independence to make mistakes with fewer consequences.

Each new-fashioned generation has it better than the next, more than technology, more funds, learn from historical mistakes and it seems there is always something new and different to do. While children are young I believe respect and discipline should be taught and practiced to help insure one grows up with value and morals.
Youth culture can be defined as the way adolescents and teens differentiate themselves from adults. It refers to how companies market their products to the youth, the music they listen to, the stylus in which they dress, the way they talk; it is everything different between them and adults. From first infancy children are immersed into a world of color and sounds, likewise known as commercials. Companies market their products to appeal to the young in hopes that it will get them to tell their parents to vitiate it.
The Merchants of Cool is a PBS Frontline report from correspondent Douglas Rushkoff shown in 2001. Although it is ten years old in content the basic outline would be the same for todays youth. Teenagers still have money to burn on clothes, music, food, drinks, whatever tickles their fancy. If they cant buy it they get their parents to buy it. According to the documentary, teens in 2001 spent more than $100 billion dollars on goods and services and their parents spent other $50 billion dollars. They are being given guiltiness money because their parents feel badly for not being equal to(p) to spend the time they ask to with them.
