Throughout the tragedy of Macbeth some instances of the feminist theory surfaced. To start off the feminist theory in Macbeth one must look at the three witches. As Macbeth and Banquo travel through the woods to be celebrated by their King Duncan, they come across three witches who have a prophecy. The witches foretold the future advancements of Macbeth and Banquo. Some believers of the feminist theory believed that to be a man or a woman is intrinsic in the DNA of humans. This viewpoint would be reiterated when Lady Macbeth asked God to suffice her to become more manly so that she and Macbeth will be able to go through with the murders that she feels are necessary to contact the prophecy of the witches (Act II). Also this viewpoint may be seen when Lady Macbeth contemplates committing the murder herself, but cant because she had a childish flashback and sawing machine her father in the face of the sleeping enemy.
